Axxiom comments from readers

I like Axxiom.  I can read at my own pace and not feel guilty when I miss a day.  Plus I choose how much to read.  At the pace I am going it may take 100 years, but at least I am reading!

Note: I checked with J.M. later and found that she was averaging 5 sections per day…a pace that will take her through the Bible in about 7 months…way less than 100 years...

It’s all good

Thank You,

I have to tell you that I am very excited about your reading plan. I have read the Bible through twice since being saved in the early 90s -- once within a year's time using a one-year Bible and once in about a year-and-a-half using a one-year Bible. However, since then I have been unmotivated to pick up my Bible and maintain a consistent reading plan. I have tried topical subject guides and made it through a book or two, but that was about it. I had just about given up trying about a year-and-a-half ago.

Over the past eighteen months I have felt so beaten down by life and unable to get my act together, that it has caused me to wonder where God is. Recently, I was trying to find a way to get back into the Word but hadn't decided on a method that was palatable and likely to hold my interest. (That situation always leads me to my fallback position -- paralyzation by procrastination.) But I think your method just may do the trick.

This couldn't have come at a better time. I am taking Monday thru Wednesday off this week. (I had planned on taking the whole week off until I received a jury summons for Thursday.) Any rate, my plan for this week - in addition to catching up on finances, paperwork, etc., - was to try and get some semblance of order and discipline back into my life.

I understand the basic instructions you gave last night; it really seems pretty straightforward. However, you must realize that being the anal-rententive personality I am, I will hit the website right off to find out all the details.

This is great! Thanks.

I am continuing to read. It was the jumpstart I needed (in bite-size pieces so I didn't get a stomach ache thinking about the whole pie.)

I wouldn’t be reading the Bible at all if it weren’t for Axxiom. Thanks Gary.

I finally did it. This is fantastic! Just the name of the thing takes away the intimidation of picking up my bible.
